YourHAIRx is a company that creates Medical Hair Prosthesis (MHP) – the term for hairpieces made using their unique process which maximizes the natural look and discretion that everyone who wears a hairpiece desires. These pieces are specifically targeted to men and women who have lost their hair due to medical conditions and cancer treatments.
Owner, Joseph Paris, came to VIDA needing to overhaul all of YourHAIRx’s marketing materials and create a cohesive brand with supporting materials. Through strategizing with the client, VIDA developed the tagline and theme of, “You’re lucky you didn’t lose your hair.” – “But Doctor, I did lose my hair.” This theme communicates that an MHP is so natural, that even your Doctor won’t know the difference. Also, the very mention of “Doctor” positions the product further into the medical arena. VIDA first carefully evaluated the desired positioning of the company and over many iterations created a logo that is both warm and authoritative, with a healthcare undertone.
Next on the list for YourHAIRx was an informative website that would educate readers about what makes an MHP different from a regular hairpiece, the process of having one made for you, as well as information regarding common hair-loss conditions and how the MHP can help. Through several conversations with the YourHAIRx team, our copywriter and web usability expert developed a content map that would best achieve these needs and wrote engaging, branded content for every page.
The header of the website include a large photographic animation which fades between photos of women wearing the MHP and not – a visual that amazes viewer with the natural appearance of the MHP. In concert with the YourHAIRx team, VIDA developed and edited engaging video hosted by and featuring real YourHAIRx clients throughout the website. VIDA prominently called out to testimonials and patient stories, as well as calls to action such as contact lead forms, FAQs, and even a petition for insurance coverage of MHPs.
Finally, VIDA followed through with a slew of printed pieces such as business cards, stationary, brochures, advertisements, tradeshow graphics, cd sleeves and more. Each piece stuck closely on brand and on market, carrying through the aesthetic and message established early in the project. All of these pieces combined were a huge success, distributed at events, doctor’s offices, affiliated businesses, via direct mail, and through publications.
